Nothing Required
A place where nothing is being asked of you.
A different kind of space
We live in a culture that asks us to continually improve ourselves.
To heal.
To regulate.
To fix.
To optimize.
To produce.
To keep moving.
Even rest can become something we're expected to do correctly.
But what if there were somewhere that asked nothing of you?
Somewhere you could step outside the pressure to change how you feel, make something happen, or turn every moment into an opportunity for improvement.
A place to listen without trying to achieve a particular state. To share silence without having to participate. To simply exist without needing to make the experience mean anything.
You do not have to arrive differently.
And you do not have to leave differently.
Nothing Required is an experiential expression of Regulation Without Force, a philosophy by Mandy Forsgren.
The Pause
Quiet audio recordings for when you need less from the world.
A growing library of contemplative listening experiences where you can set down pressure, demand, expectation, and performance for a little while.
No fixing.
No pressure to feel better.
No particular outcome to reach.
For the moments when you don’t want another method, practice, or thing to get right.
Just somewhere to be, with less being asked of you.
Sometimes you want company without having to give anything of yourself.
There are moments when being alone feels like too much, but being with others asks for more than you have to give.
The Room offers somewhere in between.
A quiet, four-week gathering where we come together online for twenty minutes of shared silence each week.
No cameras.
No microphones.
No introductions.
No conversation.
You can sit with your tea, look out the window, lie down, or simply be wherever you are.
There is nothing to contribute. Nothing to explain. No particular way you need to feel.
Just the quiet presence of other people, without anything being asked of you.
Together, without expectation.
